Kult & Klassik

What would film history be without cult films?

For many decades they formed the international film industry. Produced on low budget, very often with devastating reviews, these films were extraordinarily popular with the audience. The actors and directors became famous over night.

The transition from cult film to a classic of film history is often fluent.

Amando Ossori’s “Blind Dead” films are the best example. With these films, some of which were indisized in Germany, the Spanish director initiated the revial of the “zombie” film in the early 1980s. Even today “THE RETURN OF THE BLIND DEAD” and its predecessors are perenials on the DVD market, available in a variety of versions and lengths.
